We have a unique relationship with our consigners and we want to be upfront and open with you from the start.
We accept children’s clothes newborn through size 12, shoes, outerwear and maternity clothing. We accept wraps, baby carriers and diaper bags all in gently used condition.
We will want your spring clothes in January, your summer clothes in March, etc. We want your items to sell and it helps to have the consignment period start with the fashion season. We have limited space so we can't do long term storage.
Make an appointment and bring us your best items. We'll review items with you and give you back the items we do not accept. You can also choose to donate these items to our charity partners.
We know the market value of your items and will price them for you. When you choose to be paid by check, you will receive 40% of selling price. If you choose to receive store credit, you will receive 50% of selling price.
Your items will be on the retail floor for up to 90 days. Once the consignment period ends, items become the property of Be Kind Kids and will donated to a local charity. You may reclaim an item that you put up for consignment only in the last 30 days of the consignment period. You may contact us to hold these items prior to their expiration date for up to 7 days.
Pricing is determined by Be Kind Kids which is typically 1/3 to 1/2 of the original retail price. When paid by check, you will receive 40% of the selling price. When paid in the form of store credit, you will receive 50% of the selling price.
We at Be Kind Kids are on a mission to provide affordable high end children’s consignment clothing and accessories. We also have a variety of new on trend products that support our ideals of combating negativity and gender stereotypes with empowering, positive messages. We know you'll find something that fits you no matter who you are shopping for!
We want to celebrate differences. We want boys to know they can confidently wear pink and unicorns and girls to feel comfortable wearing dinosaurs and construction t’s. We feel it is important for children to express themselves and embrace what makes them each unique, as we teach them all the innumerable ways we can all be kind.
Family Service of the Piedmont serves more than 19,000 local children and adults each year, addressing issues of domestic violence, child abuse, mental health and financial stability. If you choose to donate your clothes at the end of their consignment period you can be confident they will go to help children and families in our community.
